A busy week in The Grove
Our Primary 1 and Primary 2 children had a busy week learning in The Grove.
In the water area we focused our learning on capacity, by measuring and comparing the different containers we could find. We made potions by adding food colouring to the different containers. We made sprays and used squirters to fill the containers. The children guessed how many of each small container would fill each large container. They had great fun!
In the mud area, children found worms in The Grove and made mud homes for them. They used the mud benches to mix mud with water to make different consistencies. They dug in the mud with little spades and made worm bridges for the worms to travel over during the weekend.
In the construction area, children made police cars with loose parts and a police station. Others made beautiful princess castles with the blocks. We had lots of children interested in making houses for worms, mice and birds around the grove. They made houses with the sticks, stones and leaves they could find.
Look at all these busy children. Busy with their learning and having great fun.
