Catholic Schools Week 2025
26th Jan 2025
Celebrations of Catholic Schools week were in full swing at St. Ronan's Primary school, with Christ 'Alive' in our R.E. Lessons where we looked at being fully 'ALIVE IN CHRIST' through our friendships, our family and within our faith community, as we strive to do as Jesus asks us "Love one another as I have loved you. By this, everyone will know you are my disciples. The school council were the perfect snapshot of our school's Catholic ethos as they represented St. Ronan's at Catholic Schools Week Service, with Primary 7 pupil, Niamh, reading a prayer of the faithful, both reverently and beautifully. Finally, the best was left to last, with Primary 3's celebration of their Grandparents and thanking them for their role in handing down the faith. A very supportive Grandparent kindly read a special prayer which ended with a poignant and accurate message which was: 'Grandchildren are the crowns of their Grandparents', worn with pride and joy. The children certainly were crowns with sparkling jewels. Well done to all the boys and girls in Primary 3 who presented a very special assembly to give thanks and appreciation to our grandparents and all our family members.
