P1 had a tasty day celebrating Pancake Tuesday! The children enjoyed making their own delicious pancakes and even practised their pancake tossing skills — we had some very impressive flips!
We had great discussions about the importance of following instructions carefully when using a recipe and talked about all the different ingredients that we needed.
We loved reading Mr Wolf’s Pancakes and we sequenced the story and wrote sentences about the story using our key words.
After all our hard work, everyone enjoyed tasting their yummy creations — lots of smiles, sticky fingers and chocolate covered happy faces all around!
