This week in literacy, we explored instructional writing!
We looked closely at what makes a good set of instructions – clear steps, time connectives, and bossy verbs. To put our skills into action, we became pizza chefs!
The children created their own step-by-step instructions for making a pizza, then designed their very own paper plate pizzas to go along with their writing. Finally, everything was packaged up in a pizza box to make it extra fun and authentic!
