Learning through Play in St.Ronan's
The Primary 1 and 2 children have had a fantastic September, learning through play every single day! From building, role play, mud, sand and storytelling to physical games and creative activities, the children have been busy developing important skills for life and learning. Through play, they are:- Growing their confidence and independence
- Developing teamwork and communication
- Strengthening early literacy and numeracy skills
- Exploring creativity and imagination
- Building resilience and problem-solving strategies.
It has been wonderful getting to use our indoor classroom resources as well as our superb outdoor resources in the playground and The Grove, which is home to our mud station and outdoor sheltered classroom. We have had lots to find and talk about as we watch the trees change with the seasons. It’s wonderful to see the children's curiosity, laughter and enthusiasm shine through as they learn and grow together.
