We had a great time celebrating Science and STEM week in Primary 5. We began the week by making circuits to light a bulb as part of our World Around Us topic - Electricity. On Tuesday we had a visit from Jurassic Encounters NI where we learnt lots of facts about animals and even got to hold a turtle and a snake. Finally we completed a range of experiments, including making our own volcanoes, coke and mentos and inflating a balloon with a mixture of vinegar and baking soda. We enjoyed discussing the chemical reactions involved in these experiments.
